Israel lleva años construyendo una economía basada en tecnología, innovación y una enorme capacidad militar. Pero después de varios años de guerra, la factura empieza a ser gigantesca: más deuda, más gasto militar, pérdida de trabajadores cualificados y una economía cada vez más tensionada.

Y en medio de todo esto aparece uno de los mayores conflictos internos de Israel: los judíos ultraortodoxos. Son una población que crece mucho más rápido que el resto del país, tiene una participación laboral menor y, durante décadas, ha mantenido importantes exenciones del servicio militar. Al mismo tiempo, sus partidos son fundamentales para que Netanyahu pueda formar gobierno. ¿Puede Israel permitirse mantener este modelo mientras necesita cada vez más soldados y más dinero? ¿Y qué ocurrirá si Estados Unidos sigue reduciendo su apoyo?
